Know the Tree by its Fruits

We live together and coexist in our communities. How do we recognize each other? Is it necessary that we know each other? We are warned by the Lord not to judge others, but to discern, recognize so that we know whom to fellowship with and pray together.

We may not be able to alienate ourselves from the community we live. It is impossible. In communities, especially in Church too people exist together. Some are seeds of grain sown by the Lord while some others are seeds of weeds sown by the enemy. Jesus cautioned his disciples with this parable in Mathew 13:24-30 and further explained it in verses 36-43.

15 “Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. 16 You will know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes from thornbushes or figs from thistles? 17 Even so, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. 18 A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit.19 Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. 20 Therefore by their fruits you will know them.
